3. General Notes.
This kit facilitates simple access to a Liberty-i public WLAN network. Primarily it is intended for use for Liberty-i networks, however you may use the same kit to access other operator networks. In the event that you do you will have to alter the settings in the software to suit that network e.g. the SSID or network identity name.

4. Installation Instructions.
The Liberty-i CD software installer for the WLAN card is largely intuitive and does the majority of the hard work for you in getting you ready to connect to the Internet via the Liberty-izone in the building or campus you are located. Once it has completed loading, it will automatically invoke your Internet Browser (Internet Explorer). The software is completely safe to load. The following instructions will guide you through how to complete this task. PLEASE ENSURE YOU FOLLOW THER ON SCREEN INSTRUCTIONS WHEN INSERTING THE WLAN CARD INTO YOUR PC.

A. PRIOR TO INSERTING THE CD INTO THE PC, DO NOT INSTALL THE WLAN CARD UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY THE SOFTWARE
B. Insert the CD. If it doesn't auto run click "Start->Run" and type in
x:\snl.exe and click OK, where x: is the letter of your CDROM drive. This will typically be D:.
C. You will be shown the introductory screen of the installer.
D. Click "NEXT" to continue.
E. Read the terms and conditions and if you agree to them click "YES". If you do not agree with the terms and conditions
click "NO" and the installation program will end.
F. Wait a moment while the installer checks your PC. You will be shown various progress messages and other windows may appear temporarily. When the installer has finished configuring your PC you will be shown the "INSTALLATION SUCCESSFUL" screen.
G. When you are shown the " INSTALLATION SUCCESSFUL " screen insert the WLAN card into a free PCMCIA slot. After a few moments, you may hear a beep or series of beeps from your PC to indicate that the card has been recognised.
H. Click the "FINISH" button.
I. The installer window will be replaced by the "Set Hotel ID" window. Enter the exact Hotel ID if you are using this kit in any other vendor network than Liberty-i. However, if you are in a Liberty-izone, leave it set as the default which is "Liberty-izone".
J. Click "OK".

PLEASE NOTE!
If you are a Windows 98 user you will be prompted to reboot at this point.
When the correct Hotel ID is set (following the reboot in Windows 98), you will be able to click the "LAUNCH INTERNET BROWSER" button which will invoke your browser and connect you to the hotel login portal page.

5. Uninstallation or reinstallation of the Liberty-i WLAN software.
If you wish to de-install all of the Liberty-i WLAN software, please re-insert the CD back into the PC and select "UNINSTALL". This will cause the system to safely remove all installed components associated with the Liberty-i WLAN card. Please note, you may also elect to reinstall all of the software at this stage also if you need to do so, by selecting "

  PLEASE NOTE!
Windows 98 users must de-install the Liberty-i software after use, as all redundant ports e.g. Ethernet ports are disabled during a wireless Internet session. De-installing the software after you have used the WLAN card to access the Internet will automatically re-enable all ports disabled during the session, leaving your PC as it was before.
